Plywood slats and a metal underbed support bar can accommodate up to 400 lbs. of resting weight per bunk. This bunk bed is compatible with standard queen size mattresses between 5 and 8 inches thick. No box spring or bunkie board is required for this bed. Two CertiPUR-US certified Memory Foam Mattresses are the perfect complement to this bunk bed. Anti-bacterial and anti-microbial, these hypoallergenic mattresses are made of non-toxic, low VOC materials without the use of formaldehyde, mercury, and other heavy metals. Each mattress features a three-layer compact comfort design with perforated memory foam, AirFlo foam, high-density base foam, and a machine-washable cotton mattress cover to provide plush comfort and optimal support. The mattresses come compressed and rolled for easy setup. We recommend letting the mattresses air out and reshape 24 hours before use.
