Boston 29.5-38in Auto Close Metal Baby Gate w/EZY-Check Indicator

I purchased this item because I have two dogs wanted to keep them out of the kitchen, and also when anyone knocks on the door, they're not the first ones there. Great purchase.

It was difficult to find a gate that fit our narrow stairway in our old home but this one fits perfectly. My only complaint is that it takes some effort to get the latch to lock

This is an easy gate to install. We are very happy with it. It is on our stairs. It's not too easy to open which is good for keeping the grandkids from opening it on their own.

Fairly easy to assemble and good quality. Has lots of add-on parts for purchase for extended widths. Would recommend.

I have 2 of these gates. They are easy to install, and sturdy enough for a baby that wants to shake it to try and get out. The magnetic auto close is bonus. I highly recommend this gate. I will be purchasing another one.

Neither the bannister adaptors or the flat wall attachments are working on the 8 inch round centerpost of spiral staircase…… disappointed….. hoping You will respond to solve this

I got this gate from my baby registry and it is so pretty! We need to buy extensions for it to fit our space but I am excited to get it up.

This comes with various size extension pieces, but the bigger extensions are sold separately.

I bought this gate to keep my son from being a trouble maker! It was such a quick and easy installment. So it to get into the bathroom and still get my son out !

We bought one of these for our first child 4 years ago and needed another one to match. We love our gates. They go very nice with our home decor and are functional to keep the kids in safe areas. Great gate. We already had one that worked well to keep our one dog partitioned in the kitchen when we left the house. We bought another one for a new dog for a separate area, and he was able to jump it right away and they were so great with their return policy and allowing us to return the second gate. This is a great gate for narrow openings, and it's also the tallest narrow gate that we found out there, which is a great thing (and I'd say good for most dogs, this second dog just happens to be an amazingly high jumper ... ) Study, well made gate, easy to install (we only used the tension installation and it works well).

Great fit for a small space

I have been in touch with manufacturer one year warranty guarantee and they won't honor it. Their stance is always the same (as in some responses) that it is installed wrong by consumer. The gate is spring loaded to stay open. it will stay open one way, but not the other. The hold back point is worn down after two months of installation. That means it WAS working. Now it is not. this has nothing to do with the installation. one critical piece is made of plastic and it did not hold up at all.

The installation manual is very brief and unclear. We were not able to install it at the bottom of our stairs. Screw holes are designed so they are not secure with the screws attached to the knobs. They are seemingly stripped, so any time we tighten/adjust the knobs the right side the left slides out of its place and vice versa. Therefore, the opening of the gate will not narrow enough to activate the magnetic feature. I would return this product, but the store I purchased from went out of business.

Love it. Useful for baby and pets

I use the Boston Magnetic auto-close security gate and it works great. The auto close feature is great but the gate is overall very sturdy. I had closed the gate before and my little one tried to push it open and can't. The lock is tight and secure and my little one can't open it. As for adults, it's pretty easy to open with pushing and lifting up the gate. I would definitely recommend this product.

I tried the Boston dreambaby slimline auto close gate and thought it was a great product. It's a great gate for babies, toddlers, and also training puppies. It is easy to open and close and looks nice in the home as well. I would definitely purchase this product and recommend it to anyone with small children or animals.

So when I first open the packaging I noticed that it was bent out to far for it to be able to latch shut. So I had to fix it before I could even try to use it. There was nothing wrong with the packaging it came in so I don't know if it got damage while it was on it's way in shipping to meor if it was something that happen at the plant before they packaged it into the box. Once I got it all setup and in a door in our house I noticed that I had to help it latch when it would swing back closed. Also the mechanism for the lock is really flimsy, wobbly and wasn't made high quality or throughout really good in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone in my opinion but maybe I just got the lemon out of the bunch of them. I like the swinging door with the magnet closure mechanism, adjustable legs with permanent discs for the legs that get secure to the wall, how study the rest of the gate is made and a pleasant color for the gate.
