This crib surprised me because it is so much nicer in person than even in photos. The material is a painted metal. It is heavy and has an expensive luxurious feel to it. The color is a beautiful neutral gray. The beautiful details of the feet, the railings, and the arches just add to the luxurious look. I'm using it for a boy and it doesn't look too girly at all. I can't wait to use this as a toddler and then day bed because this crib seems like it will stand the test of time! It was easy to put together and feels very sturdy. It fits a standard crib mattress. I'm so happy with it, it exceeded my expectations.
