Position & Lock Adjustable Wood Baby Gate

I have a 40 year old gate just like the latest one I purchased the old gate locking system was just a metal u shaped clamp which locked the position of the gate. This gate has a plastic lock which is impossible to operate and difficult to move. My old gate you just slid it into position adjust the gate width place the space location mechanism in the slot and push the lock bar down. Done. This gate system you fight to slid the plastic lock off the the top bar position the gate hope to keep the gate position where you want it and fight to get the plastic lock in place and hope it holds. If this is a improvement the designer needs to try to operate this gate. Then operate a old one like I have. I'm sending it back. This company needs to go back to the old lock mechanism.

The new mechanism to keep the gate locked is not an upgrade from the old mechanism. The new mechanism slips over the end of the piece that tightens the gate and it locks onto the end of the piece. This lock is tough to unlock for a person with arthritis.

Serves my purpose well…keeping my kitty inside at night with patio door open, only after he's been out all day already. ��

I'm using this baby gate for my 3 small dogs (10lbs each). While the sight of it is enough of a deterrent for my dudes, I can see how it might not be enough for more curious or relentless creatures - and it could topple over. The strength of the construction is lent what they used to be. And the latch takes some getting used to. I'd recommend this gate only to those with compliant kids/pups who need a visual reminder of their boundary.

we used the sticky tape in hopes it would come off when it needed to, but it took off chunks of our wall paint with it.. and very complicated to set up.

My 10 month old slid into the gate and the sharp edges on the plastic mesh took the skin right off her nose ! I'm so upset please come up with a new design with a more rounded mesh as babies can get cut !!!!!

The item Gate 202 is 23X26 dimensions ... the assembly is close to nothing. The instructions for wall caps mounting is so small its not worth trying to read, even my magnifying glass wasn't helpful; and I asked other to see if they could read it, none could. What is wrong with the marketing dept for this company, they have a product that you could mount a poster board 2-2 ft with all the info needed and it could be made large enough for the average person to read ... my vision is 20/20 so its not that! I'm sure the gate will work properly when I use it, so don't worry about the operation of it, my complaint is with a dumb marketing dept .... PS; I know the cost of card development for retail products, I have managed marketing consumer products depts

Junk junk junk! Not safe at all. Waste of my money. Dangerous for babies. Would I recommend? To start a fire maybe.

Honestly just read the directions before setting it up. It's a lil confusing to set up because si couldn't get the plastic lock off but once I did its nice and sturdy!

This baby gate is terrible. Doesn't even fit our doorways ny baby almost fell down our stairs because she busted right through it. What happened to the old style ones that you could lift and tighten?? Those were by far better.

Well I thought this gate worked well until the top wood piece broke and the gate slipped off the post as my son was holding it. Luckily my son was ok after rolling down the stairs. He just had 2 cuts on his head. Definitely needs to be recalled

Horrible! No other word to describe this new design. Love the old style. Used for pets, the old style was great and easy to use. I will look elsewhere for a gate now! Your product is horrible. I do NOT recommend that anyone purchase this gate! A total waste of money!

No issues or complaints from me! It's easy to use & does what it's supposed to. I like the quality & the size!

Light and durable! Serves the purpose. Affordable too!! I use it to keep my bedroom door open without letting the dogs come to inside :)

We are making it work for a door way but the wood is warped and the location that I purchased it for it is unusable

I used this gate for a couple of months and today while setting it up, the wood on the end around the metal split. It is completely useless now. I am a stay at home mom with no income. I don't make purchases lightly, so something I have out of necessity breaking upsets me. If you absolutely NEED a baby gate, don't get this one, spend the extra money for a metal one.

This gate worked really well for my little one.It's easy to use with positioning and locking in place. There was no issue in using it and the kids never was able to come out from the area separated using the gate. Effective gate

I am happy that I chose this evenflo position and lock 23in tall gate. Its sturdy and stable. The lock hold in place securely and safely.

Can't go wrong with an evenflo brand of anything made for children. It has always been a trusted brand in my home

I bought this thinking it would protect my daughter from going in areas of my home she shouldn't be in........ This is a crap product. The screws destroyed my wall & it does NOT come with anchors for the screws so now I have HUGE gashes in my wall & I am throwing throwing product away. As far as I'm concerned I will NEVER use this company product again as it all turns out to not be worth the money you pay. So hey company, when are you sending someone to fix my wall?! YOUR shoddy product destroyed my entryway walls!! I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE WITH DRYWALL WALLS!!
