Juvenile Solid Wood Storage Box

Got this in the unfinished. This is made of rubber wood, so not the best wood choice out there. Right on the box, it says this product has traces of formaldehyde, so I am not happy about that. Why wasn't that in the description?

I love this toy box. It is perfect for my Grand daughters toys and it's safe. I will definitely order another one for my next grand baby or even storage

I was surprised by how large this actually was which is great. The unfinished wood is nice without any toxic smell and is sanded. It took about one hour and a half to put together by myself… Definitely would be easier with two people. The instructions are not good but you can really figure out where everything goes on your own. I did have one Bolt that was deformed so I wasn't able to use it and I contacted the company… We'll see what happens, they do leave their number within the instructions. The only other really challenging part are the spring hinges… There is no instruction on how to position these or anything. There are some pre-drilled holes and they don't lineup so you have to almost clamp them with your hands and have someone drill or screw in the screws to kind of hold it in place. This did bend one of mine but you can't really notice. The last thing that definitely bothered me is that there was some particleboard, as I thought this was completely solid wood. They use a particleboard floor piece and also one woven into the side piece… That's disappointing. Overall though it's a nice looking piece that's very sturdy and can hold a lot

Bought to add as additional storage box to my grandkids playroom. Love it! It's spacious, sturdy and it comes in a natural finish that gives it a real nice look. The door does not slam shut either, which is great. It has a mechanism that allows it to close slowly, which mean, no one will get hurt when closing the cover. The kids like to sit on top of it and pose, LOL!!

I painted mine for my daughter's room and it looks great. Easy to put together and extremely sturdy.

The Toy box was received in good order, was pre-sanded which saved a huge amount of time and we used a Danish Oil Natural to finish the box which allowed the grain to just pop. The box assembly was easy, however when finishing the construction, you will need an additional set of hands. The bad news on this box, the screws used to secure the sides, were either to long or the holes were pre-drilled to deep by the MFG. Two of the 12 screws penetrated the finished side by a 1/16 to 1/4 inch. By adding additional washers I was able to secure the side and glued. This issue is why I didn't give this box 5 Stars, but certainly 4.5 would be more deserving.

The size is great! Love the color as depicted. However there is a reason why it's so cheap. The panels are thin-ESPECIALLY the bottom panel. The inner arms that prevent slamming had little instruction on how to place them. The holes for the inner arms were misplaced, my fiancé had to drill new holes for me. When I reached out to Overstock to discuss new parts I was told the part department would call me back in a few days (not that he would transfer me right away like most businesses). He then told me that they (the parts dept) would be able to order my replacement parts and it would take 1-2weeks to ship. So bottom line it's going to take almost a month to replace the parts that arrived defective. Awesome. I don't believe I'll be using overstock again.

I am extremely pleased with how solid this piece is! I was originally concerned with putting it together myself, but it was not bad. The pre-drilled holes for the hinges on the lid did not line up properly. However, I was able to make my own.

The toy box is unfinished - that should be noted. It is a nice large piece, so it holds plenty of toys. The safety hinge is great, keeping the lid up while little ones are searching for the toys.

Love how big this toy box is and I can pick what color stain I want.

I purchased this for my daughter's room and it was the perfect size. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because while the assembly was easy, it was very difficult to get the bottom panel into the grooves.

I actually loved that this was available unfinished. My granddaughter helped paint the lid so she helped have part in the design. Love it, good big size for toys.

Very large. Love it. Fits most of the toys. and safe for kids to open and close. Would recommend to anyone.

Sturdy good material. Fits a lot of toys. Kids love it. It has stoppers to help keep top up when open which work well if you put them on the right way (lol) oops

Very impressed with the quality of this. Easy to put together and very sturdy. Only took me about half an hour to put it together by myself.

Perfect large toy box stainable to match decor. Fairly simple to assemble alone, though second person would be handy for top. The back is a thinner plywood.

Really very nice and roomy. All solid ver light wood. I put cushion s on it and it looks like a lovely bench. Assembly was a bit challenging and may need 2 people to hold in place while screing parts on and I recommend a drill
