Although this bench is aesthetically pleasing, it does not function very well as a glider. First. The directions from its manufacturer Outshine would be graded a "D". Second, it does not glide well, nor smoothly. The bottom screws to attach the glider mechanism are too long and tore up the bottom of the bench. I had to improvise and add a spacer on each bottom screw to keep it from doing more damage. I would not recommend this glider bench for the purpose of swinging. If you just want it because it would fit a particular space, then by all mean go for it. It is over priced for what you get. If it wasn't already assembled, I'd return it and go with something better.
